Electrical Engineering is an engineering field which is concerned with electric power generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy conversion, utilization and control, converters, electrical machines, power transformers and all kinds of electrical equipment and energy systems design, control, implementation, development, protection, security, and operation.

Graduates of this program are expected to work in various sectors such as manufacture of electrical machines and power transformers, control and automation systems, power electronics industry, high voltage switch-gear, cable industry, lighting devices, industry and other public and private institutions that support the industry in design, project planning, sales representation, consulting, customer service.

 

Program Outcomes

 

1.     Has an Adequate Knowladge in Mathematics, Science and Electrical Engineering Subjects.

2.     Uses The Theoretical and Practical Knowledge Together in The Areas of Mathematics, Science and Electrical Engineering for Engineering Solutions.

3.     Determines, Identifies, Formulates and Solves The Electrical Engineering Problems. For This Purpose, Selects Appropriate Analytical Methods and      Modeling Techniques,and Implements.

4.     Analyzes and Designs An Electrical Engineering System, System Component or A Process Under Realistic Constraints to Meet The Desired      Requirements; In This Respect, Implements The Modern Design Methods.

5.     Selects and Uses The Necessary Modern Techniques and Tools for The Electrical Engineering Applications.

6.     Designs and Performs The Electrical Engineering Experiments, Collects The Data and Interprets the Results.

7.     Works Effectively as An Individual and as A Member in Multi-Disciplinary Teams.

8.     Obtains The Knowladge and For This Purpose, Makes Reference Search, Uses Databases and Other Information Sources.

9.     Awares of The Need for Lifelong Learning; Follows The Recent Developments in Science and Technology and Updates Himself/Herself Continuously.

10.   Uses The Information and Communication Technologies in Electrical Engineering Fields and Uses At       Least One Computer Software Effectively.

11.   Communicates Effectively in Turkish Oral and Written Language; Uses At Least One Foreign Language at the General Level of European Language Portfolio B1.

12.   Communicates Using Technical Drawings.

13.   Has The Professional and Ethical Responsibility.

14.   Has The Conscious and Responsibility for the Issues of Project Management, Workplace Practices, Environment, Employee Health and Safety; Has Awareness About The Legal Implications of Engineering Applications.
